Bloomberg Takes Aim at Tea Party

New York’s party-jumping billionaire mayor, Michael Bloomberg, decided against a presidential run of his own, but in a series of big-buck but low-key fundraisers, he’s put his money down to build a bulwark against the Tea Party, reports Capital New York. Despite pushing his own post-partisan brand, where both parties are always equally to blame for gridlock in Washington, six of the 10 Congressional candidates Bloomberg has given money to or raised money for are Democrats—and eight have faced opposition from Tea Party Republicans.
