Bo Xilai Expelled From Office

    Disgraced Chinese politician Bo Xilai has been stripped of his last official position and kicked out of the country’s legislature after a scandal involving his wife and the death of a British businessman shook the country’s political structure. Bo was expelled from the Communist Party last month, but this final step clears the way for the congress to begin criminal proceedings over suspicion of corruption and obstruction of justice. His wife, Gu Kailai, was found guilty in August and received a suspended death sentence.
