Two chefs from Heston Blumenthal’s British restaurant, the Fat Duck, were killed in a taxi crash earlier this week in Hong Kong. Jorge Ivan Arango Herrera and Carl Magnus Lindgren were in Hong Kong for a private event when their taxi was crushed between two buses. The police force said that one bus had hit two cars, then crossed into the other lane, and crushed the chefs’ taxi. The taxi driver was also killed, along with 56 others. Blumenthal, who was also visiting Hong Kong, reportedly identified the two chefs. The bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving that resulted in death, but then released after posting $645 bail.
