    4.9-Magnitude Quake Strikes Japan

    Can Japan catch a break? An earthquake of preliminary magnitude 4.9 struck Tokyo and the surrounding area Saturday morning. Although there were no immediate reports of major damage and the Japan Meteorological Agency said no tsunami warning had been issued, several trains were temporarily stopped. The reported origin of the quake was 50 miles beneath Chiba prefecture, east of Tokyo.
