Booker Weighs Governor, Senate Run

    Can Newark’s golden boy capture the Garden State? Newark Mayor Cory Booker said in an interview Sunday that he’s considering his next step. “I am absolutely considering running for governor, as well as giving other options some consideration,” the hero mayor said on Face the Nation. A try for governor may prove an uphill climb, even for the Democrat known for such swashbuckling antics as rescuing his neighbors from their burning home. Booker would be up against Chris Christie, whose post-hurricane approval ratings reached 67 percent in the most recent poll.
