A 7-year-old Pennsylvania boy died in a parking lot Saturday after his father’s handgun went off accidentally, police said. Craig Loughrey and his father, Joseph, were climbing into their truck after a brief visit to a local gun store when Joseph’s 9mm suddenly fired. The father told police that he did not know there was a bullet in the chamber, and no charges have been filed against him. The young boy reportedly died instantly after being hit in the chest by the bullet.
