Perhaps there will be fewer “hiking trips” this time around. Former South Carolina governor Mark Sanford is reportedly planning to run in the special election for senator-designate Tim Scott’s vacated House seat, sources said Friday. Sanford’s ex-wife, Jenny, was also said to be considering running for the seat, but the strategist said Sanford would not be running against her.
