Paper Runs Gun Ad by Newton Story

Talk about poor taste. A Connecticut newspaper, The Advocate of Stamford, is in hot water Thursday after it ran an ad for an antique gun show next to an article about the massacre in Newtown. The Hearst Connecticut Media Group, which owns the paper, apologized, saying it was an insensitive oversight and will not happen again. “Our newspapers should not be running gun ads—including ads for antique and collectible gun shows—next to stories about Sandy Hook,” the group’s publisher said.
