We all know colors affect our mood, and now a new study says they affect our taste buds, too. Apparently, savoring a warm cup of cocoa is all the more satisfying when consumed in an orange mug or cup. Researchers in Spain and England had 57 participants try hot chocolate in white, red, orange, and cream-colored plastic cups. Their results, published in the Journal of Sensory Studies, found that volunteers preferred their chocolat chaud when associated with the latter two colors. Starbucks, take note.
