    Sheriff May Dig for John Wayne Gacy Victims

    The crimes were committed four decades ago and the killer is already executed, but there are still new developments in the John Wayne Gacy murder cases. Detectives are one step closer to being given a warrant to search the grounds of the notorious serial killer’s late mother’s apartment complex for bodies of victims, it was announced Saturday. Investigators would use thermal imaging devices to detect underground anomalies while searchers dig holes, and FBI cadaver dogs sniff for remains. Request for such search warrants are routinely approved, a spokesman for the Cook County sheriff says.
