Florida Gov. Gave Back Dog

MIAMI, FL - JANUARY 10: Florida Governor Rick Scott speaks to the media after he toured the manufacturing facility at Beckman Coulter, a biomedical laboratory instruments manufacturer, on January 10, 2013 in Miami, Florida. The governor continues his push to create new business opportunities in the state and earlier in the week announced a plan to call on the State Legislature to eliminate the sales tax on equipment purchased by companies for their production plants. Hopefully Gail Collins will catch wind of this story. Florida Gov. Rick Scott gave back the Labrador retriever his family adopted during his 2010 campaign for governor, the Tampa Bay Times claimed on Monday. Shortly after winning the GOP nomination, Scott and his family adopted the dog and named him Reagan after launching a Facebook campaign to help choose a name. But the last time Reagan has been seen publicly was the day before Scott was sworn in as governor in 2011. Now Scott admitted he had given back Reagan, since he was a rescue dog and “scared the living daylights” out of people at the governor’s mansion. The family has adopted another rescue dog, 7-year-old Tallee.
