NASCAR’s Nationwide Race ended in catastrophe Saturday when driver Kyle Larson’s car went flying through the catch fence—sending his engine barreling toward the stands and nearly breaking the vehicle in two. Ambulances rushed to scene, where several attendees are thought to be injured. Larson allegedly made it through the crash unscathed, a claim that authorities have yet to confirm. The crash comes just one day before the long-awaited “Great American Race,” the Daytona 500.
