Tax Burden Declines on Top Companies

So much for high taxes killing “job creators.” A Washington Post analysis of companies listed on the Dow Jones Industrial Average showed companies facing dramatically lower tax burdens than 40 years ago. Many experts point to a tax code that has failed to keep up with the globalization of American companies, and that it favors corporations moving income overseas where the tax burden imposed by the U.S. government is much lower.
