The Miami Heat’s hot streak came to a fiery end Wednesday night when the Chicago Bulls defeated Miami 101-97, ending the team’s 27-game winning streak. The streak, which began on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3, was led in part by forward LeBron James, who attempted to launch a comeback in the final minutes of the game. The Heat’s loss means they fall just six games short of beating the 33-game winning streak held by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers. As any coach tells a losing team, there’s always next year.
