The NBA has fined Indiana Pacer Roy Hibbert $75,000 for using a homophobic phrase during a press conference after a tough game six against the Miami Heat. Hibbert was all over LeBron James during the game, but that doesn't mean he's gay. That's essentially what the center said after the emotional game, employing the phrase "no homo," a term many in the media labeled a "slur." Hibbert also called the media "motherf-----s" for ignoring the Pacers during the season (which the media kind of did). Hibbert apologized, but NBA commissioner David Stern said the fine was "necessary to reinforce that such offensive comments will not be tolerated."
