When Michael Douglas told The Guardian that his cancer was linked to oral sex, the admission rippled through the Twitterverse. But now, Douglas’s spokesman is trying to walk it back, saying the actor was simply discussing the causes of throat cancer. The Guardian shot back, posting the audio of the interview and a transcript. When asked if his hard-partying lifestyle led to his illness, Douglas responded, “Without getting too specific, this particular cancer is caused by something called HPV, which actually comes about from cunnilingus.”
