Senator: Sorry About My Offensive Son

U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Flake and his family greet supporters during a campaign stop ahead of the election at the Yavapai County Courthouse Plaza Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, in Prescott, Ariz. The stop on the courthouse steps has been a tradition of Republicans since 1964 when Barry Goldwater concluded his presidential campaign there. Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake has apologized on behalf of his son Tanner’s recent tweets, which threatened the “faggot” who stole his bike and joked about a Jewish friend stealing his one-liners. “I’m very disappointed in my teenage son’s words, and I sincerely apologize for the insensitivity,” the Republican senator said. The high schooler has since locked his account, though Twitter isn’t the only place his offensive behavior can be seen. Not only has he chosen the gaming name “n1ggerkiller” on social app Fun Run, but his crude YouTube comments are cause for concern as well. Someone needs to give this boy a hug.
