The Biblical weather is back. Thunderstorms and torrential rains are predicted to strike the Plains and the Midwest on Tuesday, while a separate weather system is expected to possibly bring hail to the Northeast. At least 200,000 people in Chicago already had no power ahead of the storm, and O’Hare International Airport was temporarily closed. Officials warned of flash floods and, on the opposite end of the spectrum, wildfires sparked by thunderstorms. In the severe weather on Monday, 23 Boy Scouts in Belmont, New Hampshire, were hospitalized after being struck by lightning.
