Can’t stop, won’t stop is pretty much what Wendy Davis is saying. The Texas state senator said Sunday that she will not stop fighting her state’s strict abortion bill—despite Gov. Rick Perry’s call for a special legislative session, where supporters of the bill are likely to outnumber the foes. She said that Perry was "bullying" women to to step up the political ladder. “These are matters of personal liberty,” Davis said on NBC’s Meet the Press. Davis vowed to keep up the fight on Monday, saying “I just refuse to say I believe it will happen … I believe in the power of democracy and I’m going to fight it with every fiber I have to keep it from passing.” Davis’s 11-hour filibuster on Tuesday prevented a bill from passing that would ban abortions after 20 weeks and close nearly all of the state’s abortion providers, although Perry has called a special legislative session to pass the bill.
