This is like Ariel Castro all over again. Police are investigating a report that four elderly men were held against their will in a north Houston home, possibly for several years. Police, dispatched to the scene after a 911 call, found the men in “deplorable conditions”—three sleeping on the garage floor and one locked inside the house. Three of the men are receiving treatment at the hospital and one resident, whom police say was stealing his captives’ Social Security checks, has been taken into custody. Like other recent long-term kidnapping cases, neighbors say they had no idea: “It’s sad,” said neighbor Larry Davis. “You never know what's going on around you.”
