    Liz Cheney Opposes Gay Marriage

    The next Cheney family reunion could be awkward. On Friday, Liz Cheney, a U.S. Senate candidate from Wyoming, said in a statement supporting states' right to decide on the issue of same-sex marriage that she is "not pro-gay marriage." The Republican candidate is the daughter of former vice president Dick Cheney, a gay-marriage supporter, and the sister of Mary Cheney, who is openly gay and who married her longtime partner last summer in Washington, D.C.
