After only a month since IBT media bought Newsweek, the international digital-only news company announced Thursday that Jim Impoco has been named editor in chief. Impoco has been in the journalism business for more than 20 years, most recently as enterprise editor and executive editor for Thomson Reuters Digital. Impoco's knowledge of the industry "is exactly what will take Newsweek to the next level," co-founder and chief executive of IBT Media Etienne Uzac said. Impoco stated following the reveal that he is "honored to be a part of the IBT Media team and look[s] forward to revitalizing one of the most iconic media brands in history."
