A Seattle college professor was killed Saturday night and his girlfriend was seriously wounded in what police are calling an unprovoked attack. According to police, Shoreline Community College professor Troy Wolff, 46, and his girlfriend, Kristin Ito, 30, were walking in Seattle’s Pioneer Square after leaving a Sounders game when a man repeatedly stabbed Ito. Wolff intervened and was stabbed in the neck and torso. Ito was listed in serious condition Sunday. Seattle police have arrested a man in connection to the stabbing, saying he had “diminished mental capacity” and possibly a record in California.
