No wonder Michele Bachmann thinks end times are near. American adults fared poorly in math and technical skills needed for the modern workplace when compared with other nations, according to a new study. Following the trend of U.S. students doing worse on test scores and dropping college graduation rates, young Americans did not have as many math, technical, and literacy skills as those in other countries. Even worse, middle-aged Americans, arguably the best-educated generation ever, barely did better. The study, developed by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, studied people in 23 countries.
