Can some good old-fashioned spy revelations unite Congress? Kind of. On Sunday's Face the Nation, Rep. Mike Rogers and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, leaders of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, respectively, defended the National Security Agency, saying it has only been following directions from political leaders to keep the country safe. But Rogers and Feinstein differed on the path the agency should take moving forward. Feinstein stressed a need for a "review of the intelligence framework" to assess what is prioritized for collection, which she said President Obama is currently undertaking. Rogers argued it wasn't an issue of "how you reign in the NSA," but whether or not law and civil liberties are being respected. Another thing they did agree on: criminal justice for Edward Snowden.
