John F. Kennedy had sex with his wife, Jacqueline, on Air Force One the day before his assassination, according to historian William Manchester. Manchester finessed the incident in his 1967 book The Death of a President out of respect for Jackie, but he admitted the incident in the mid-1970s to writer Philip Noble. Noble had written that the Kennedys had slept in separate hotel rooms in Dallas the night before his death—suggesting that the former president had been sleeping his former intern, Mimi Beardsley—but Manchester allegedly told Noble that the Kennedys had had sex on Air Force One and “it’s in the book” on pages 77-78.
