At least 30 cases of Mycobacterium marinum, a rare skin infection, have been found in New York, according to the city's health department. The disease has been traced to raw seafood from fish markets in the three major Chinese neighborhoods—Chinatown, Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and Flushing, Queens. Symptoms include lumps and swelling under the skin of hands or arms, as well as difficulty moving fingers. There is no risk from eating the fish however.
