WWII Bomb Kills 7 in Bangkok

Scrapyard workers in Bangkok accidentally detonated a bomb that was left behind from World War II. Seven people were killed, and 19 others were injured. “It's likely this is a bomb dropped from a plane during World War II," said police bomb squad chief Kamthorn Auicharoe. Construction workers found the bomb and sold it to a scrapyard in northern Bangkok. Workers were using a gas-powered thermal cutter to take the bomb apart when it exploded. Construction workers found a bomb in a different part of Bangkok last Saturday, but it was safely handed.
