Dick Cheney may be taking potshots at Sen. Rand Paul for his "isolationism," but it turns out Paul may have drawn first blood. Mother Jones revealed Monday that in 2009, Paul suggested the former VP got the U.S. involved in Iraq to profit his former firm, Halliburton. After pointing out Cheney's previous opposition to invading Iraq under the first Bush, Paul declares, "Dick Cheney then goes to work for Halliburton. Makes hundreds of millions of dollars, their CEO. Next thing you know, he's back in government and it's a good idea to go into Iraq." Paul also claimed that, "9/11 became an excuse for a war they already wanted in Iraq."
