Embattled L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling apparently broke his silence, Friday, telling DuJour Magazine, “I wish I had just paid her off.” Sterling was presumably referencing girlfriend V. Stiviano who recorded him making racist remarks on a phone call that was leaked to TMZ over the weekend, resulting in Sterling’s lifetime ban from NBA. The NBA’s finance committee met this week after commissioner Adam Silver said he wanted to push for Sterling’s ownership of the team to be terminated. It was confirmed Thursday that Sterling is suffering from cancer.
