Gold Medalist Hope Solo Arrested

    Olympic gold medalist and soccer star Hope Solo was arrested Friday night and is being held without bail for investigation on two counts of domestic-violence assault in Des Moines, Wash. Kirkland police Lt. Mike Murray said that Solo is accused of striking her sister and nephew, both of whom suffered “visible injuries.” Officers were called to Solo’s home, which she shares with husband and former NFL player Jerramy Stevens, due to an assault and noise disturbance. “There was a big party going on at her hourse. It was an out-of-control situation,” Murray said. Solo is currently the goalkeeper for the Settle Reign FC.
