Bank Robbers Throw Hostages From Car

A female hostage and two of three suspected bank robbers died Wednesday during a shootout with California police. The shootout began after an armed robbery at a Bank of the West in Stockton when three male suspects grabbed three female hostages before jumping into a getaway car. The men were chased by police, and shot at the officers with “AK-47-style rifles.” Two of the women were thrown from the car during the chase, and one was found with a minor gunshot wound. After the robbers’ car was disabled, a big exchange of gunfire led to two of the suspects and a hostage being shot dead, while the other suspect was also shot but alive. Multiple homes and police cars were damaged by the gunfire from the suspects.
