Looks like Michael Bloomberg’s protests worked. The FAA decided at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday to lift its ban on U.S. flights into Tel Aviv after a two-day halt. The agency says that it made the decision after “carefully reviewing both significant new information and measures the Government of Israel is taking to mitigate potential risks to civil aviation.” Earlier Wednesday, regulators had said it would have to wait until midday Thursday for a decision on whether to extend the ban for a third day or end it. The regulators instituted the ban after a rocket landed less than a mile from Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.
