    Hawaii Senate Primary Too Close to Call

    Finally, some drama on the Democratic side. The race for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Hawaii remains too close to call, as Senator Brian Schatz and Representative Colleen Hanabusa are separated by a mere 1,788 votes with a potential 8,000 voters whose ballots still have not been cast. Neither has conceded the race. Meanwhile, state Senator David Ige picked off incumbent Democratic Governor Neil Abercrombie in the primary race for governor.
