Over 20 people are dead after a train crashed into a motorized rickshaw late Monday at a railway crossing in the eastern Indian state of Bihar. All of the rickshaw passengers—seven children, six women and seven men—were killed. They were returning home following a trip to a temple in the nearby town of Motihari to offer prayers. India is home to one of the most extensive railway networks, but also one of the most accident-prone. In May, 40 people were killed in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh after a passenger train crashed into a parked freight train.
