Kent Sorenson, a former Iowa state senator, has admitted that former Rep. Ron Paul’s presidential campaign paid him $73,000 to publicly drop his backing of Rep. Michele Bachmann in 2011 during the presidential primaries, and endorse Ron Paul’s bid. Sorenson, Paul, and campaign officials had previously denied that such a payment took place.
