Comedian Joan Rivers has been placed on life support. The 81-year-old comedian and E! television star remains in a medically induced a coma after going into cardiac arrest on Thursday. According to TMZ, Rivers' family will decide in the next few days whether to keep her on the machines that are keeping her alive. A source close to the Rivers family told the New York Daily News that her daughter and often co-host, Melissa, is struggling to come to grips with the gravity of her mother's state. “She still thinks everything is going to be OK. She is refusing to admit that a world might exist without her mother in it,” said the source.
