The partner of Man Haron Monis, who took a Sydney cafe hostage last week, has been put in jail after a judge revoked her bail. Amirah Droudis had been charged in the November 2013 murder of Monis’s ex-wife but was released on bail at the time. Magistrate Graeme Henson revoked her bail after reviewing new evidence, including a YouTube video in which Droudis proclaims herself a “terrorist” who has committed terrorist acts against Australia. “I find there is an unacceptable risk that cannot be properly mitigated by a further extension of current bail or bail in different terms,” said Henson.
