Israeli officials said Thursday that two Israelis are being held in the Gaza Strip. Authorities say they believe the Hamas militant group is holding at least one captive. Avraham Mangisto independently crossed the border into the Gaza Strip on foot last September following the end of the Israel-Gaza war, according to an Israeli defense ministry statement. The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories said they have “credible intelligence” Mangisto is being held “against his will.” The statement also said authorities were handling a case of an Israeli Arab who is being held in Gaza, but they did not give any further details. The two cases were revealed after the Israeli military lifted a gag order on Thursday, according to the AP. It was not clear why the order was lifted.
