Iranian parliament passed a bill approving the country's landmark nuclear deal with world powers on Tuesday, according to state news agency IRNA. The vote was considered a victory for President Hassan Rouhani's government, which reached the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with world powers in July. The bill passed a preliminary vote on Sunday and will now be presented to a clerical body for final approval and passage into law. Though the bill passed, it requires international inspections of Iran's military sites under the agreement to be approved by a top Iranian security body, which could prove to be a challenge in putting the pact into practice.
