At least three people died Friday night in flash floods in North Texas, caused by a day’s worth of rain. Two people, Sandra Jones, 33, and Jose Vargas, 48, were found dead in Johnson County while a third, Benjamin Floyd, 29, was found in Garland Friday morning. Rain is expected to continue through the weekend. With the 5.12 inches of rain that fell Thursday, this year’s rain total of 55.87 inches broke the previous record, set in 1991, of 53.54 inches.
