Unseasonably warm weather on the East Coast will persist through Christmas Day and into the weekend, breaking record highs as the temperatures continue. The Weather Channel says several Eastern cities are expected to see their warmest Christmas Eve or Christmas Day on record, adding to records set in several cities in the Northeast on Thursday morning, including 70 degrees at 8 a.m. in New York City. The site reported that Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Providence, Rhode Island, all also set daily record highs Thursday morning.
