Abdeslam Had Documents on Nuclear Center

When police raided the Brussels apartment of Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam, they reportedly found documents regarding a German nuclear-research center. The center, known as Juelich, stores atomic waste near the Belgian border. In a statement, the center has said it is in contact with security officials. Abdeslam had reportedly printed articles and photos of the center and of the center’s chairman, Wolfgang Marquardt. Abdeslam was arrested last month for his connection to the terror attacks in Paris that killed 130 people in November of last year. Officials have expressed a growing concern since the Brussels airport and metro attacks that ISIS members and other militants may be focused on acquiring nuclear weapons.
