Indonesian President Joko Widodo issued a new law on Wednesday which would make child sex abuse punishable by chemical castration. This law comes after a 14-year-old girl was brutally raped in April, her body left naked and tied up in the forest. Seven offenders involved in the crime have been put in jail for 10 years. "We hope that this law will be a deterrent for offenders and can suppress sexual crimes against children," Widodo tweeted on Wednesday.
