The heads of the Trump campaign and Republican National Committee have scheduled what one source describes to Politico as an “emergency meeting” to attempt to repair what some RNC staffers see as a foundering campaign. Some Trump staffers are allegedly encouraging the meeting, telling Politico that “they finally realize they need the RNC for their campaign because, let’s face it, there is no campaign.” A Trump spokesperson dismissed the meeting as a routine conversation.
