A man on a train in northeastern Switzerland set the train on fire on Saturday before attacking several passengers with a knife, leaving six injured. The suspected attacker, identified only as a 27-year-old Swiss man, used a flammable liquid to start a fire in the train car before stabbing several people. One of the injured is a 6-year-old child. The incident took place around 2:20 p.m. local time, at a station between the towns of Buchs and Sennwald. Rescue helicopters have rushed to the scene, and police have launched a major operation. The motive remains unclear, as does the condition of the attacker’s victims. The victims included two 17-year-olds, two women aged 34 and 43, and a 50-year-old man, in addition to the 6-year-old child. The attacker was also injured and has been taken to a hospital near Salez in St. Gallen Canton.
