Kellyanne Conway Won’t Rule Out Special Prosecutor for Hillary Clinton
LOCK HER UP?
During her victory lap on the cable news morning shows on Wednesday, Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway refused to rule out the possibility that the president-elect will appoint a special prosecutor for Hillary Clinton, as Trump promised in the second presidential debate. “I would need to discuss that with him,” Conway told Morning Joe when the question was raised. “I think you heard his own words last night to the extent that one man can as president and certainly Vice President Pence, who is phenomenal, they’re looking to unify the country. But we haven’t discussed that in recent days and I think that it’s all in good time.”
“I hate to say it, but if I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation,” Trump said to Clinton on the debate stage in October. When she replied that it’s “awfully good that somebody with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country,” Trump shot back, “Because you’d be in jail.”
