Gretchen Carlson, the former Fox News anchor whose lawsuit against the network’s then-CEO Roger Ailes forced the TV mainstay out, will guest-host the 9:00 a.m. hour of NBC's Today show on Jan. 3, according to New York Magazine’s Gabriel Sherman. Carlson later confirmed the news via Twitter, writing: “Pls join me on NBC for announcements!” Carlson received a $20 million settlement after she sued Ailes for allegedly sexually harassing her and retaliating against her for rebuffing his sexual advances. Amid mounting similar allegations, Ailes resigned from the network in July. Carlson spent 11 years at Fox News as co-host of the morning program Fox & Friends, and later hosted her own afternoon show, The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson.
