The Trump administration has mandated that any studies or data from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) must be reviewed by political staff before being released to the public, the transition team's communications director, Doug Ericksen, said Wednesday. Ericksen also stated that the review would extend to content on the agency's website, including information about climate change, anthropogenic carbon emissions, and other evidence supported by the scientific community at-large. “We’re taking a look at everything on a case-by-case basis, including the web page and whether climate stuff will be taken down,” Erickson told the AP in an interview. “Obviously with a new administration coming in, the transition time, we’ll be taking a look at the web pages and the Facebook pages and everything else involved here at EPA. Everything is subject to review.” Former staffers have said that these restrictions far exceed those of past administrations.
