Kellyanne Conway said she misspoke when she claimed Thursday there was a “Bowling Green massacre” carried out by Iraqi refugees. Conway tweeted she meant to say “terrorists” not “massacre.” The counselor to President Trump told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews that two Iraqis were the “masterminds” behind “the Bowling Green massacre.” Conway added, “Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.” Only, there’s no such thing as the Bowling Green massacre, and there has never been a terrorist attack in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Conway says now that she was referring to two Iraqi citizens who lived in the town and were arrested in 2011 on charges they attempted to send money and weapons to al Qaeda in order to kill U.S. solders.
